Q&A - Ships and Vehicles

Q. Will there be any updated X-wing statistics published? All the technical data seems to refer to the T-65C-A2 type, while every list of statistics I’ve seen is for the T-65B (even those for Dark Empire).
A. Check out Jedi Academy and Cracken’s Threat Dossier for stats on other X-wing models.

Q. Is it possible for any starship to operate under water for a specific time? Currently the main smuggler group in my campaign built a large base on a water world. The ships enter the base from a cave complex nearby. I just want to know if a ship like the Corellian Corvette, which is too big to fly through the cave system, will be able to enter the water and dock with the base underwater._
A. I guess the GM could role-play the modifications necessary to allow a ship to do this. Remember, there’s one major difference in philosophy between submersibles and spacecraft: subs are designed to keep water and pressure out; spaceships are designed to keep air and pressure in. I used a mcguffin about shield reconfiguration to handle a submersible spaceship. It took 1D hours and three Moderate starship shields rolls to accomplish. Unfortunately, any shield damage underwater collapses the hull (at sufficient depth) and the ship can only use its Hull code to resist damage.
