Q. With the upcoming release of Revised and Expanded, and the large number of supplements that are being released for the Star Wars Role Playing Game, I was wondering if you were planning to have a WEG homepage for questions and answers, upcoming products, etc. FASA, Games Workshop, and a few other large companies have sites detailing the games that they sell, along with errata and Q&A sections. It would be beneficial for WEG to have a web page as the community of role players on the web increases.
A. This question was asked of Bill Smith some time ago, and the response was:

We don’t have a homepage yet. (Our on-line presence is purely due to dedicated voluntarism on the part of the staffers.) I would be more than happy to field questions that are forwarded to me. (The rules changes from Second Ed. are in the “Star Wars Rules Upgrade” in issue 11 of the Journal, as well as the new GM screen that comes out in October. The upgrade will also be a convention handout and I can probably drop it into a crude on-line posting if (you’d like once it’s finished.)

The latest response from Tim O’Brien however:
We currently have plans for a web page, but if one doesn’t pop up in three months, try again.

Q. I was recently browsing through one of the preview books in my local book store, and noticed a mention of a generic system being released by WEG that uses the same system as that of SWRPG. Could you confirm this, and if its true, could you tell me something briefly about it?
A. This new “Generic” game is called “D6” and it comes out in August. Yes, it’s the SW RPG engine, with a few tweaks. We don’t have any dedicated D6 game lines to announce yet, but we have included details on using all MasterBook lines in D6, so you can play Indiana Jones, Necroscope, Tales from the Crypt, Tank Girl, Species and Bloodshadows immediately. D6 and MasterBook have a simple translation, so the MasterBook fans can also use SW with MasterBook rules.

Q. I would love to write for West End Games but do not know how to submit my work. What is you policy on this topic?

The Official Star Wars Adventure Journal has been asked by Lucasfilm to solicit material only from previously published authors. Therefore, we must require potential writers to meet the following guidelines.

Q. In one of the adventure Journal earlier this year, some of the news net entries were published with the differently formatted dates and I was just curious which format is the most accurate? (ed. The dates were different from those of previous Journals and had an extra number at the end (eg: 36:3:12; is now is 36:3:12:22). I would be very interested in what this last number means as well.
A. TIM: I believe the writer changed, and since there is no set dating system, he just made up the numbers.
A. ERIC: OFFICIALLY… nothing. UNOFFICIALLY, there is NO Star Wars calendar. (Okay, so maybe there is a sequentially numbered code in these articles…). Actually, in the FanTech stuff, the 4th number is a “local time referent”that indicates, well, nothing. Just garbage.

Q. Where can I find information on Bacta Tanks including their cost, and usage?
A. Nowhere…yet. Rogue Squadron Sourcebook, probably. There’s a little in Cracken’s Rebel Field Guide, I think…
