STARING:

Ace, Anthuana, Gaaliette, Gan Jan-Ru, Gelloron, and Ledala

SUMMARY:

The heroes travel to the hidden Imperial research facility with information that it contains the main storage area for the Blue Harvest Project. Upon arrival, the heroes find the base somewhat abandoned, however due to unforeseen circumstances, some of the heroes catch the virus they had gone to the base to destroy. Now it was a race against time to save several of the heroes from certain death. Meanwhile, a friend of Thermal Force, Val Corestar awaits trial which will require the members of Thermal Force and others to vouch for him…

Event: Upon arriving, the group notice an Imperial shuttle landed on the main bay. As they approach, the Imperials notice the ship approaching, and begin rushing into the shuttle. The group soon notices that the Imperials also begin setting up an anti-vehicle blaster cannon on the shoreline.

Event: Seeing this, Gan jumps into the underbelly turret, and quickly destroys the cannon, and the shuttle. Ledala lands the Moon Swing on the shore, and after a short battle with the remaining scout troopers, the group makes its way into the remains of the base. While the group enter the ruins, Ledala remains aboard the Moon Swing to keep a lookout for Imperials. Once inside, the group begin an extensive search of the ruins. Anthauna goes with Ace, while Gan goes with Vi. The group find a number of bodies which Gan identifies as that of Falleen, a humanoid lizard type race. Further searching reveals a safe-room. In the safe room, Anthauna finds 100,000 credits, and a large number of valuable statues and trinkets. Whilst Gan and Gel continue searching, the two come across the remains of QT-7’s casing. Gan identifies that the QT’s power-cell has almost been depleted. Gan, not being an electronic wizard, quickly takes QT back to the Moon Swing for Ledala to examine. Gan then returns to the ruins.

Event: Gan, Gel, Anthauna and Ace make their way into the laboratory area of the base. Upon checking one room, the group find a group of aliens huddled together in a corner. They also notice that the aliens seem to be clutching at something which the bodies now cover. Gan, wanting to check the bodies, and the item they are hiding, is forced to disturbs the bodies. As one of the bodies falls, Gan realises what they were holding, just as the container crashes to the ground. Suddenly, a large blue cloud engulfs the room, covering Gan, Gel, Anthauna and Ace. Almost immediately, Anthauna and Ace fall to the ground in agonising pain, as the two start to age before Gan and Gel’s eyes. Gan and Gel carry Anthauna and Ace into the ship.

Side Event I – The Return of QT-7

Staring: Ledala and QT-7
G.S.Date/Time: 0500 – 35:10:20

Event: Upon examination of QT’s remains, Ledala confirms what Gan had found, but also determines that most of QT’s programming has been wiped. However, after a little more examination, she finds that some of the programming, including personality, and security programming is intact, but unless the remains were plugged into a major power source, all the data would be lost. Consequently, Ledala takes QT to one of the power chargers aboard the Moon Swing, and plugs QT-7’s CPU into the ships power supply. A short time later, QT’s chip burns out, and Ledala examines the remains. After a quick examination, Ledala finds that all of information is lost. Suddenly, QT’s voice comes across the ship’s comlink. Ledala checks the computer system, and finds that QT’s programming was somehow transferred into the Moon Swing’s main computer bank. Suddenly, Gan contacts Ledala and tells her to get into the cockpit, and environ-seal it as they were coming into the ship with something heavily toxic, namely the Blue Harvest Virus. Ledala then goes into the cockpit, and does as Gan requested. Time Taken: 1 hour G.S.Date/Time: 0600 – 35:10:20

Event: Gan then tells Ledala to plot a course back to Masterhome, and to make it a fast trip due to the quickening effects of the virus. Gan uses Karahaa’s medical scanner to check Anthauna and Ace, and determines that both will require a med-pac. In the meantime, Ledala plots the fastest route possible back to Masterhome, and transfers all available energy into the engines and hyperdrive. Ledala soon lifts off, and makes her way out of the atmosphere. Gan applies the med-pacs to the two as indicated by the medical scanner. Ledala then makes the jump to Masterhome. During the trip, Gan sends a message to the Home Base on Masterhome with a message telling them what had happened to Anthauna and Ace, and to prepare a emergency team.

Event: Also during the trip, Gan asks Gel a few questions about his employer to which Gel explains that he was working for Hutt named Horrak. With this, Ledala immediately contacts Gan via comlink, and tells him that she remembers seeing both Gel and Gaaliette earlier on back when they visited Spira. Ledala further explains that when she managed to escape the prison cell with Platt O’Keefe, she escaped via the air-ducts and so while going along the air ducts, she saw both Gaaliette and Gel taking orders from Horrak to capture her alive.

Event: Upon arrival, Ledala quickly lands at the Masterhome Base.

Event: The ship is quickly surrounded by environ-covers by the ground crews. As soon as this is completed, a medical team led by Karahaa board the Moon Swing, and take both Anthauna and Ace to the medical bay. A few days later, Ace and Anthauna recover from the effects of the virus.

Event: During the few days on Home Base, Ledala speaks with General Romilar, and explains the security risk that Gel’s presence places on the Home Base. She further explains the occurrences that she observed while on Spria and the actions of Gel, and his associate, Gaaliette. Hannibal sympathises with Ledala, and tells her to “keep an eye” on Gel. Also during these few days, Gel speaks with General Romilar regarding his situation. Gel tells General Romilar that he would like to stay with the Rebellion since he could be of assistance to the group they call Thermal Force. Gel goes on further and says that he would like to bring Gaaliette to the Rebellion as well as she had been doublecrossed by their boss – Horrak the Hutt. Gel then offers to set up a business on Masterhome selling food and drinks which would be run by Gaaliette. Hannibal then informs Gel that with the liberation of the Nebulon-B frigate, Revenant, the base of operations for Thermal Force and the newly formed Dragon Squadron would be changing. He tells Gel that the Nebulon-B, now refitted, and called Dragon’s Lair, would be the base of operation for the 2 groups, and offers him an area aboard the vessel to set up his “cantina”. After the meeting, Hannibal takes Gel to meet the rest of Thermal Force. After Gel is introduced to Thermal Force, General Romilar calls Ledala to his office. When Ledala arrives, he informs her of what Gel had stated to him, and what had been agreed upon. After Ledala calms down after being told the news, Hannibal tells her to keep an eye on both Gaaliette and Gel. He goes further and states that he will advise his son, Commander Bakki Romilar of the situation which will mean that both Galliette’s and Gel’s activities can be observed by both Dragon Squadron and Thermal Force. Later, Gel request Ledala and Gan to take him back to Arcan IV to recover Gaaliette. Gan agrees, but Ledala objects strongly. When Ledala is approached by General Romilar to comply with Gel’s request, she reluctantly agrees.

Event: Upon arriving, Gan travels to some of the black market areas to purchase some parts for his armour. After a few hours of purchases and deal making, Gan returns to the Moon Swing.

Event: Gel and Ledala travel to the doctors where Gaaliette was being cared for. Soon after, Gaaliette and Gel are re-united. Gel tells Gaaliette that she would be safer off Arcan for a while, and that the people who were buying the weapons from Horrak are from the rebellion against the empire. Gel further tells Gaaliette what General Hannibal Romilar (“The Boss” – in Gel’s terminology) had agreed to. Gaaliette agrees, and the 3 return to the Moon Swing. Upon arrival, Gaaliette decides to pull in a few favours, and purchases a large amount of liquor and perishables to be used in the bar on Home. Ledala sets up a few contacts on Arcan IV in the meantime. Sometime later, the group leave Arcan IV and return to Masterhome.

Event: Upon their return, General Romilar begins the trial of Val Corestar. Members of both Dragon Squadron and Thermal Force are called to give evidence. During the trial, Gan, Ledala and Gel arrive back at the Home Base aboard the Moon Swing with Galliette. At the conclusion of the trial, General Romilar denounces that Val is to be demoted to the rank of Lieutenant 2/C, and that he is to be removed from active Mission Group duties. General Romilar further states that Val is to be placed on the duty roster for Dragon Squadron on a permanent basis for the purpose of evaluating the performance of the H-Wing Starfighter. General Romilar further decrees that the permanent members of Thermal Force would be Lieutenant 1/C Tanlee Jandaloo (Primary Rebel Officer), Lieutenant 2/C Karahaa, Gan Jan-Ru, Ledala Korewa, and Geloron. Gaaliette is introduced to General Romilar and Major Mers. Later, Dragon Squadron, Thermal Force, Anthauna, the newly promoted Lieutenant 2/C Troy Hasulak, and Gaaliette are requested to go to the Dragon’s Lair to be familiarised with its surroundings. General Romilar calls for a celebration of New Year Fete Week which lasts for a few days before the members of Thermal Force are called upon for an an urgent mission.
