SUMMARY:

It is a time of rejoicing for the Rebellion in the Fakir Sector. Thermal Force has returned from Arcan IV with the news that the Blue Harvest Project has been destroyed.

But the celebration is short lived. Rebel Intelligence has discovered that since the destruction of the Blue Harvest Project, the Moffs and Governors of the surrounding sectors have begun to tighten their grip in an effort to halt the Rebel insurgence, more specifically the members of Thermal Force.

Reports have flooded in from numerous hidden rebel colonies in the surrounding sectors that they have been attacked by Imperials. As a result, Thermal Force along with the newly formed Dragon Squadron, has returned to the Fakir Sector to establish the reasons for these raids.

Meanwhile, Lumiya, with the help of Governor Wessex of the Relgim Sector, has begun work on a new operation. An operation which if undiscovered by the Rebellion in time, could become more powerful than the Empire’s Death Star Project…

STORY:

Event: The members of Thermal Force return from training on Ksift.

Event: After resting, two members of Thermal Force, namely Tanlee Jandaloo and the Wookiee Karahaa are requested to attend an emergency meeting with the newly formed Dragon Squadron.

Event: One hour later, the meeting begins.

Event: At the meeting, General Romilar explains the following:
“A few days ago a very old message probe was found on the outskirts of the Masterhome system whilst Dragon Squadron was performing flight training. The probe was brought back to Home Base and analysed. With the help of the technical staff, it was found that the content was that of a distress message from a group of Wookiees in the Seslont system. Seslont is a unique system in so far that 3 of the system’s 6 planets is surrounded completely by a sphere of asteroids, making in near impossible to find. Little is known of these three planets for this fact. The message claims that the Wookiee colony has been attacked, and needs assistance. We are unsure if the Imperials are to blame for this attack, or even if the attack is legitimate. If the Imperials are responsible, there may be a link to this attack and the increasing number of attacks on hidden rebel colonies throughout the Sirros, Mortex, and Fakir Sectors in the last few weeks. Your mission will be to take one of our shuttles, along with Dragon Squadron, and find out what is happening out there.”

Event: Some time later, once prepared, Tanlee, Vi, Karahaa and Dorn leave the Home Base aboard Rebel Shuttle, along with 10 other rebel troops. Escorting the shuttle is Dragon Squadron, made up of 6 X-Wing Fighters, 2 Y-Wing Fighters, 2 A-Wing fighters and the new H-Wing. The Squadron consists of:

Event: Upon arrival in the system the group encounter a small number of scout TIEs patrolling the outer limits of the system. The pilot of the shuttle quickly jams the TIEs transmission, and Dragon Squadron destroys the two. The convoy arrives at the asteroid field. Bakki, determines that the convoy should enter the asteroids in single formation to prevent the chances of collision. While journeying through the asteroids, one of the X-Wings is hit by a small asteroid, and is heavily damaged. The X-Wing then limps its way through. All of the other ships make it through the asteroid belt. Once inside the confines of the belt, the convoy finds that the 3rd planet is a standard class planet, and is inhabitable. The convoy makes its way to the planet, but is forced to make a detour behind one of the planet’s moons after the shuttle containing Tanlee, Karahaa, and Dorn locates a Nebulon-B frigate in orbit around the planet.

Event: After a short time, and once the Nebulon-B orbits out of sensor range, the convoy makes a break for it, and enters Seslont’s atmosphere. The shuttle soon detects the only type of technology on the planet – a small Imperial encampment.

Event: The convoy, using the mountains for sensor cover, land on a beach approximately 80 kilometres from the Imperial encampment. The convoy arrive during the evening.

Event: Val, Vi, Tanlee, Karahaa, Drayen, and Dorn all volunteer to travel on foot to the site of the Imperial Encampment. After preparing with supplies, the group leaves

Event: During the trip, Vi scouts ahead while the others trail behind. Vi is ambushed by two scout troopers.

Event: Vi quickly dispatches the scouts, and finds that one of them had advised the command post. Through quick thinking, Vi tells the command post that all is well, and that they thought there was something suspicious, but when they checked it out, they found it had just been some native fauna. A few nervous moments later, the command post falls for Vi’s story, and advises them to keep patrolling. Vi takes the armour, and one of the speeder bikes, while the others bury the evidence. As the group survey the area, the stormtrooper’s comlink activates. The voice over the comlink gives the troopers designation code, and requests feedback. Vi quickly responds, and reports that it was just some unusual fauna. The base acknowledges the report, and requests that they be more careful with what was reported. The group then continue of their way to the camp. Along the way, the group encounter a wounded Wookiee. The Wookiee identifies itself as Kentara. Karahaa then tells the group that Kentara is her cousin. After a short reunion with Karahaa, Kentara informs the group that she is one member of a small band of Wookiees who had escaped the Imperial Camp. She asks the group to go with her back to the camp.

Event: After a short walk, the group arrives at the camp located in a nearby cave. A large number of the Wookiees are injured, and so Karahaa sets to work with medpacs to assist.

Event: The Wookiees inform the group that the Imperial Camp is being disassembled, and most of the Imperials are leaving. The group then contact Dragon Squadron’s camp. Bakki then tells the group to continue with the mission once all of the Wookiees have been attended to. Once Karahaa attends to the wounded, the group inform the Wookiees that once they attack the Nebulon-B and rescue the Wookiees already taken aboard the frigate, they would return. The group then leave the Wookiee camp. Upon arriving at the Imperial Camp, the group find that the camp is surrounded by a energy fence. At each corner of the camp, the group also notice guard towers. They also find that the shuttle is still landed, and that most of the camp has been disassembled.

Event: The group then devise a plan. It is decided that Val will wear the scout trooper armour, and take Karahaa in as a prisoner. The others would climb one of the trees, and once Val was inside, they would jump in. Once in, the group would rush the shuttle. Once in the shuttle, Vi would notify Bakki and the rest of Dragon Squadron to attack. The plan is successful, and Karahaa and Val are allowed in. The rest of the group jump the fence from the trees. Val then hands Karahaa her bowcaster, and the battle begins. After most of the troopers in the tower are “taken care of”, the group rushes the shuttle. At this point, Dragon Squadron begins their attack run. The group enter the shuttle, and once the pilots are taken care of, Val and Drayen lift off, and pilot the ship to the Nebulon-B.

Event: Dragon Squadron are not far behind the shuttle, and soon after commence their attack run. The shuttle enters the hangar bay after Vi and Val convince the Nebulon-B that they have escaped the attack by the “rebels”. The group then leave the shuttle, and commence the attack. After dispatching a number of stormtroopers, the group make their way to the turbo-lifts. Once into the turbo lifts, they find the detention level, and after a short assault on the detention level, the group rescue the Wookiees. Karahaa soon finds her mother, but is surprised to find that her father is no where to be found. The group take the Wookiees back to the hanger bay in waves, but not before being forced to fight stormtroopers who arrive via a turbo-lift. Karahaa and Tanlee jump into the lift with the stormtroopers. Karahaa brawls the troopers, while Tanlee ignites her lightsaber, and uses it in combat for the first time. The troopers are quickly dispatched by the two. As the first wave arrives, a gun fight ensues where a number of Wookiees are gunned down. This sends the some of the adult Wookiees berserk, especially Rambaara, one of the elders. Dorn quickly leads the remaining Wookiees into the shuttle. After a heated fire fight where Karahaa is wounded, the Imperials are beaten. As the smoke clears, a new group of storm troopers begin their attack from the level above the hanger bay. Val contacts Bakki, and advises him of the current situation. Bakki then requests them to take the bridge. Val objects, and Bakki orders the taking of the bridge. Upon arrival at the bridge deck, the group is ambushed by a squad of stormtroopers. A heated battle takes place. During he battle, the group find that the bridge has been cut off by a blast door. Also during the fight the group hear and feel large thudding noises coming from the front of the ship. Drayen, and Val identify these noises as those of escape pods being jettisoned. Dorn, after rejoined the group finds the computer which releases the blast door, and opens it. Once on the bridge, the group find 2 officers. One is standing towards the transperisteel view-port, which the other brandishes a blaster in the direction of the group. Drayen guns down the officer, while the other says for the computer to execute the self destruct sequence. The officer then identifies himself as Commander Bane Northos. Dorn and Tanlee quickly access the main computer, and disable the self destruct sequence, much to the dismay of Northos. Val then informs Dragon Squadron that the Bridge had been taken.

Side Event I – The Dragons Strike

Staring: Dragon Squadron
G.S.Date/Time: 2200 (0500 Ses. T.) – 35:10:09

Event: Dragon Squadron, after following the shuttle to the Nebulon-B, commence their attack. Prior to arriving at the Nebulon-B, Dragon Squadron faces the entire complement of TIEs (16 TIEs, and 4 TIE Bombers). During the battle, one A-Wing is destroyed along with its pilot Ensign Reen Kovak. Also during the battle, one X-wing is destroyed, along with a Y-Wing, but the two pilots survive. After the battle with the TIEs, Dragon Squadron commences its attack on the Nebulon-B. Bakki is informed by Val that the Wookiees have been rescued, and that they are boarding the shuttle. Seeing the potential for a new capital ship for the Fakir Sector Fleet, Bakki orders the group to take the bridge. During the battle, one of the X-Wings is damaged. The squadron then decide to use a combination of photon-torpedoes and ion-cannons which soon disables the frigate. Val then informs Bakki that he and his team have taken the bridge, and that Commander Bane Northos has been captured. The damaged craft then board the frigate, while the others patrol the area. Time Taken: 1 hour G.S.Date/Time: 2300 – 35:10:09 Event: Some time later, after the remaining TIEs are destroyed, Bakki arrives to inspect the bridge, while the remaining members of Dragon Squadron, and the Wookiees round up the remaining Imperials aboard the Nebulon-B. Event: Val confronts Bakki and tells him that he was not impressed with the order. An argument occurs, and Val finalises the argument by hitting Bakki, knocking him the ground. Val is grabbed by Kyan, as Drayen helps Bakki off the ground. Bakki orders that Val be placed under house arrest until they are able to return to Home for a Court Martial. Kyan and one of the Wookiees take Val to the brig. Rambaara arrives at the bridge soon after. He then informs Bakki that some of the other Wookiees had already been taken away by the Star Destroyer Dominant. After a check by Dorn through the central computer, it is found that the Nebulon-B was to rendezvous with the Dominant on Cotellier after the Imperials had finished retrieving all of the remaining Wookiees from Seslont. Knowing that the other Wookiees were in danger, the group, along with Bakki, discus a plan for the rescue of the Wookiees from Cotellier. It is decided that Drayen, Vi, Karahaa, Tanlee and Dorn would need to take a ship to Cotellier to investigate. The group decides that the H-Wing was the best proposition. Once decided, Bakki makes arrangement to have the H-Wing brought up from the planet, while the group prepare whatever supplies they needed for the mission. The H-Wing is recovered by one of the members of Dragon Squadron. The group leaves the Nebulon-B, and travel in the H-Wing to Cotellier.

Event: Hyperspace (Dragon Squadron) [ x1 ]
Event: During the trip to Cotellier, Tanlee has a vivid dream. In
the dream, Tanlee finds that she is wearing white flowing robes,
and is in a field covered with rocks. Tanlee notices that rising
above the field is a large tower with a thin stem, finishing with a
large platform. As Tanlee approaches the platform, she notices
a storm cloud above it, with lightning and explosions coming
from within. Suddenly Tanlee sees a shape fall from the tower. As
Tanlee watches, the body begins hurtling towards her. Stunned,
Tanlee hesitates, and at the last minute, jumps to safety. The
body hits the ground, and rolls over. Suddenly Tanlee realises
that the face of the body is that of Daurek Lennisen. Tanlee
awakens with a jolt.
