SUMMARY:

The conclusion of a 5 part story arc dealing with the discovery by Tanlee and other members of Thermal Force that Zennox, Tanlee’s Homeworld, has been taken control by the Empire. In this final episode, the captured Tanlee, Troy and Ledala are rescued by Gan and Karahaa, but not before the final confrontation between Kligga, and a mysterious figure known only to the members of Thermal Force as “Lobster Head”, along with the unexpected arrival of the entity known only as “The Dark Cloud”…

STORY:

Event: Having failed to turn Kligga, Tanlee and the group ponder their options. Suddenly, the lights dim. Tanlee then takes advantage of the situation, and summons the hidden force talent she never knew she had. Suddenly, the lightsaber telekinetically flies from the hands of the unconscious Jedi, smashing the glass of the coffin, and arriving in Tanlee’s hand. Kligga turns in fear, saying, “No. This is too soon.” Tanlee cuts her bonds free, as the main door to the tower flies open. Standing in the doorway is El’varrnen, a lobster headed alien, dressed in the ceremonial robes of the Jedi. Tanlee, Ledala, Vi and Troy all recognise the alien as that of the drunken Lobster Head from their previous adventures. Some dialogue occurs between El’varrnen and Kligga, and the two engage in battle with lightsabers. Suddenly, a dark storm cloud covers the top of the tower. Tanlee feels the dark-side from within the cloud, as she observes electrical explosions within the cloud itself. Ignoring the cloud, Tanlee begins to free the others.

Event: The 2 guards move to stop her, but are disintegrated by a power beam of energy from the cloud. Once free, Troy and Vi move to the coffin which has been knocked over in the battle between the Jedi masters, and check to see if the unconscious Jedi is injured. Finally, Kligga strikes a fatal blow against El’varrnen, forcing him to the ground. Laughing hysterically, Kligga is suddenly surrounded by flashing lights, and swirling mists. Kligga is then absorbed into the cloud. As the last remaining evidence of Kligga’s existence rise to the cloud above, a booming voice says, “I have now taken 2 dark ones, and I will soon return for another. I shall be the most powerful thing the galaxy has ever seen. If you take the dark path as well, you shall join me in my power”. The cloud then disappears, and Gan Jan-Ru arrives. Tanlee rushes to the fallen El’varrnen (alias Lobster Head). El’varrnen identifies himself and tells Tanlee that he was sent by E’Raan to look after her, and to see how she was progressing. He then hands her a lightsaber, and tells her that this will help in her search for E’Raan. With that, El’varrnen dies. With the semi-conscious ancient Jedi, and the body of El’varrnen, the group make their way to the entrance of the central chamber. At the entrance, the group is ambushed by a group of 10 Stormtroopers During the battle, Tanlee is wounded. After a short battle, the troopers are killed, and the group is again victorious. Tanlee is healed by Troy, and soon the group begins moving through the complex to rendezvous with Karahaa in the TIE fighter hanger bay. The group, while making their way to the central hanger, hear and feel large explosions occurring outside the garrison. The attack had begun.

Event: The group makes their way to the main hanger via the turbolifts and during the trip are bombarded with falling piping, one of which hits Tanlee, wounding her, and barely misses Ledala and Troy. The group arrives at the hanger, and finds that the entire hanger bay is in ruins. The group finds Karahaa, slightly singed, but no worse for ware. The group then makes their way back to the main landing platform. Eventually they arrive at the main security room, but are attacked by Imperial Stormtroopers en mass. A large battle occurs between the Stormtroopers and the group. During the battle, Tanlee is mortally wounded, but not before summoning her newly found force ability, and lobbing a thermal detonator into the centre of the control room. The resulting explosion, kills most of the troopers. Karahaa sees Tanlee fall from the multiple shots from the Stormtroopers and goes berserk. The rest of the group dispenses with the other troopers, and then calms the Wookiee down. The main door to the platform is found to be locked. Karahaa attends to Tanlee’s serious wounds, while Troy attempts to unlock the door. Troy is unsuccessful. Ledala then tries to break the computer lock, and closes the secondary blast door. Another explosion then rocks the base, and a large pillion collapses onto the Wookiee. Karahaa survives, but barely. Gan Jan-Ru, knowing that there is no alternative, sacrifices his jet pack, and decides to sets it on overload near the main entrance to destroy the security door. The rest of the group finds shelter from the explosion in an adjoining room. Gan the sets the pack, and runs for the room, as the jet pack explodes, successfully destroying the door. With their Karahaa carrying Tanlee, Troy helping the Jedi, Ledala carrying the fallen El’varrnen, and Vi and Gan Jan-Ru covering the escape, the group makes their way to “Costa Lan”. As the group boards the ship, they see the other bulk freighter, collapse through the platform, falling to the ocean below. Then the platform begins to shudder, and the group realises that the entire platform is about to collapse. Ledala and Troy jump at the controls. With heroic speed, Ledala fires the ship’s engines and lifts off, as the entire landing platform collapses beneath them, crashing to the ocean below. As the “Costa Lan”, with the group on board, leaves the garrison, Vi grabs the detonator, and activates the switch, destroying the generator, and consequently, destroying the entire garrison. The group then makes contact with the “Home” Fleet. The rendezvous coordinates are then transmitted on a rebel frequency. The “Costa Lan” and the “Home” Fleet jump to hyperspace to the rendezvous point. Just prior to jumping to hyperspace, a small squad of TIE fighters engage the Moon Swing which subsequently damages the hyperdrive. The damage is superficial but does cause the Moon Swing to take longer than normal.

Event: The group arrives at the coordinates in the Nok’Bar Nebula, and soon after docks the “Costa Lan” with “Home”. The group finds that prior to jumping to hyperspace, the Moon Swing was brought aboard “Home” by Gordenez. The group waits for the arrival of the remainder of the “Home” Fleet.

Event: Once everybody is on-board, a celebration of the victory occurs. After the celebration, the group is told by Major Mers to meet at 0900 in the main briefing room on the next morning to discuss what will happen with the refugees. The next morning, the group arrives at the debriefing run by Major Mers. At the debriefing, the group meets Special Rebel Agent, Commander Tiree, alias Lt. Ren Tiree returns the money to the group that they gave him back on Zennox, and then leaves for his next mission.

Event: At the meeting, the leader of the Zennox Resistance Force, Koran, expresses his concern for the welfare of his people. Tanlee also expresses her concern. In the end, the group makes the suggestion that since the members of the Zennox Resistance Force want to fight the Empire, perhaps if a base of operations was set up on Masterhome, the members of the Zennox Resistance Force could join the ranks of Fakir Sector Force. Koran agrees, as does General Romilar and Mers. After coordinates are set, and arrangements made for the welfare of the members of the Zennox Resistance Force, the “Home” Fleet jumps to Masterhome

Event: Upon arrival at Masterhome, Lt. Daurek Lennisen, ex-member of Mission Group Alpha goes to the planet and discusses with the Godking, the idea of the establishment of a small outpost on Masterhome to house the survivors of Zennox. The Godking tells Daurek that as long as the base did not interfere with his people, he had no problem. He also tells Daurek of some flying machines which had been moving through the skies in previous weeks, but had never landed. Daurek decides that it could be Imperials looking for the wreck of the Imperial transport ship that was shot down by Mission Group Alpha when last on Masterhome. The people are dropped off on Masterhome, and the Corellian Corvette, “Reekeene’s Revenge” is left at Masterhome along with two Y-wings and an A-wing fighter to protect the base. Daurek stays behind to command the base and act as an ambassador to the Anointed People. For a few weeks, the group assists with the construction of the “Home” base. This includes transporting materials from capital ships in orbit to the surface for use in the bases’ construction. The group also finds time to train over this period.

Event: Mon Mothma is greeted by General Romilar and soon requests him to assemble Mission Group Alpha, now working under the code name of Thermal Force. The next morning, “Thermal Force” is contacted and the group attends at an meeting on “Home”.
