SUMMARY:

Part 4 of a 5 part story arc dealing with the discovery by Tanlee and other members of Thermal Force that Zennox, Tanlee’s Homeworld, has been taken control by the Empire. In this episode, Thermal Force executes their daring plan to infiltrate the Imperial Base. The plans goes flawlessly until Tanlee is again taken over Telepathically by a dark side adept by the name of Kligga, who has proclaimed himself Emperor of Zennox. Soon after Ledala, Troy and Tanlee are captured and brought before Kligga himself. It is here that a series of events which begin to unfold involving an ancient Jedi who had been placed in stasis 300 years ago that will change the galaxy and the lives of Thermal Force forever…

STORY:

Event: The group, on board the “Costa Lan”, arrive at the Imperial Garrison and Palace, which stands hundreds of meters above them, and lands on the massive docking platform. The other cargo ships lands to the starboard side of the “Costa Lan”.

Event: Vi and Ledala take the first of the crates off the ship, and leave them on the platform. A security officer then asks them to bring the crates to the checkpoint. Ledala takes the first crate, and the crates are examined carefully with a sensor array. Ledala then informs the others. Not knowing how they would get Karahaa and Gan into the facility, Karahaa and Gan Jan-Ru suggest that all the technical parts from one of the crates be taken out. With the crate empty, Gan and Karahaa could then hide in the crate, and take the group’s equipment with them. As soon as the crate was placed onto the grating of the landing platform, Gan would cut into the crate, and then cut a hole through the landing platform. They would then climb underneath the platform using the abseiling gear, and enter the base through piping, or service corridors. Prior to leaving, Troy gives the plans of the garrison to Gan on a datapad, which Troy says should help in “finding their way around”.
With that plan in mind, Gan and Karahaa, after emptying the crate, enter the crate with the equipment. Vi seals the crate, and takes it to the platform, placing it at the rear of the containers. Tanlee, Ledala, Vi, and Troy then unload a large number of the containers from the ship, taking them gradually to the security checkpoint, via an initial checkpoint. At the security checkpoint, Ledala and Tanlee notice a large number the crates from the other ship are being opened. Inside are what seem to be very old “bacta-tanks”. During the unloading, a dark cloaked figure enters the security checkpoint, guarded by 2 crimson coloured Stormtroopers, and heads for the other transport. Tanlee then drops what she is doing, and follows the cloaked figure. Ledala also runs after Tanlee, but is stopped by some of the security officers. When Ledala asks why she was stopped, she is told that she is not allowed onto the other ship. When asked why her fellow crew-person was allowed, the officer asks what crew-person, and leaves. A short time later, the cloaked figure emerges from the ship, flanked by his two guards and followed by a very distant Tanlee, and a long crate carried by 2 of the security officers. Vi and Ledala get a better look at the crate, and see that it is some type of coffin, with a human inside. The coffin, the cloaked figure, and his guards, followed by Tanlee are then escorted into the palace. After the crates are fully unloaded, Vi takes the crate which contained Gan and Karahaa on board the “Costa Lan”, after being “mistakenly” brought onto the platform. Ledala, Vi and Troy are asked to join the other workers in the recreational area before their departure. Meanwhile, Tanlee disappears further into the base.

Event: The group agree, and are escorted to the large Recreation Room. While at the rec rooms, Vi, Ledala and Troy attempt to find a way to enter the rest of the facility unnoticed. Troy goes to the public amenities, and finds a shaft which he may be able to break the security seal on, and which should give access to the rest of the base. Ledala also goes to the amenities, but finds nothing. Vi checks the rest of the area, and also finds that all of the entrances are guarded by Imperial troops. During the search, Ledala is attacked by a female with super-human speed, and is stunned unconscious. Vi and Troy come together after hearing Ledala’s scream over the comlink, and are also ambushed by Imperials. Subsequently, Vi and Troy are stunned unconscious. All are then taken to a holding area.

Side Event I – Wookiee Surprise

Staring: Gan Jan-Ru and Karahaa
G.S.Date/Time: 0500 (2500 Ze.T.) – 35:05:24

Event: Gan cuts a hole in the platform, and the two use abseiling gear to climb to one of the large pipes. Gan almost falls, but is helped by Karahaa. The two then find a large pipe, which seems to be hollow. Gan then cuts through the pipe and finds a sewerage duct. The two enter the pipe and make their way through the sewerage system to the underground aquatic facility, where they believe a maintenance shaft leading to the main power generator to be. Avoiding Imperial troops, the two make it to the maintenance shaft. While going there, Gan and Karahaa encounter 2 Imperial guards, which Gan dismembers with his vibro-blade. The two then continue down to the generator. Event: Gan and Karahaa enter the main control room, guns blazing, and kill all of the Imperial Stormtroopers who were stationed at the control room at the time. The technicians surrender, and are bound and gagged by the Wookiee. Gan activates the virus, using the one word command entered by Troy, and Karahaa sets the explosives onto the generator. Karahaa then contacts “Home” and advises them that the explosives are set. She also advises them that one of their team has been captured by the Imperials. The order is then sent from “Home” to not attempt to save her, as she is a casualty of war. The two then leave through the maintenance corridor after Karahaa destroys the locks on the doors. The two, using the service ducts, make their way to the detention area, with the intention of saving Tanlee. Time Taken: 1 hour G.S.Date/Time: 0600 (2600 Ze.T.) – 35:05:24 Event: Accidentally, while almost at the detention area, Gan activates a pressure pad, which opens a shaft heading down, at the same time as closing off the only escape routes. Gan activates his jet-pack, to prevent falling any further, and encounters a group of Stormtroopers about to enter the shaft. Karahaa uses her claws to climb the shaft. As the Stormtroopers enter the shaft, Karahaa drops the sub-space comm package, hitting 2 of the Stormtroopers, causing them to fall. Gan, still using his jet-pack, finds that the shaft is an emergency escape route from the detention area, and leads to the top of the garrison. Gan examines the scene while Karahaa climbs to the top. Gan observes a small swirl of dark clouds moving towards the garrison. When Karahaa reaches the top, both are almost deafened by the ion engines on 3 TIEs as they are being launched from the base. Karahaa decides that she will go and attempt to get a ship to escape in, while Gan goes to the main palace tower. While Karahaa finds a ship, Gan flies to the tower, just as the storm arrives. Karahaa enters the central flight deck, and is noticed by Imperial troops. Karahaa then climbs down one of the staging platforms and finds 2 TIE fighters, which have been caught by the loss of power, halfway between the staging racks, and the flight deck. Karahaa opens the hatch of one of the fighters, and is attacked by the pilot, who observed her jump down. Karahaa kills the pilot and jumps into the fighter. The troops inside the control tower, which is in front of the fighters, see this happen and begin to fire on Karahaa and the fighter. Not having much experience with TIEs or fighters of any type, Karahaa activates the engines and attempts to lift off. Due to her lack of experience, Karahaa finds that the locking clamps are still in place, and while taking off, damages the TIE’s wings. Karahaa then decides to fly the fighter straight at the tower, and does so. The TIE collides with the tower, and Karahaa escapes with a minor wound. Holding only by a few micro fibres of metal, Karahaa musters all her strength, and pushes the TIE from the tower. The TIE crashes to the ground, and explodes causing the entire tower to collapse. Dusting herself off, Karahaa then waits for the rest of the group. Time Taken: 1 hour G.S.Date/Time: 0700 (0000 Ze.T.) – 35:05:24

Side Event II – Tanlee’s Ordeal

G.S.Date/Time: 0500 (2500 Ze.T.) – 35:05:24

Event: Tanlee falls unconscious and is brought to the main chamber of Emperor Kligga, where she is shackled in chains. When Tanlee awakes, Kligga torments her with the news that he had killed her mentor E’Raan, and that he would continue her training. With this Tanlee lashes out, embracing the dark-side for a short moment and is knocked unconscious by Kligga, hearing only his echoing laugh as she disappears into the darkness of her dream. Ledala, Troy and Vi are then brough in and shackled next toi the unconscious Tanlee. Time Taken: 1 hour G.S.Date/Time: 0600 (2600 Ze.T.) – 35:05:24

Event: Tanlee, Vi, Troy and Ledala awake from their forced unconsciousness, and find themselves hanging from the ceiling, cuffed to long pillars, 3 meters from the ground. In front of them is a large throne where Kligga awaits them to awaken from their slumber, along with 2 red robed Imperial Guards, and a large coffin, which they recall seeing at the landing platform. In the coffin is a male human, dressed in some type of ceremonial robes, which Vi recognises as that of the Jedi Knights. Held in the figure’s hands is an ancient lightsaber. A long dialogue takes place between the group and Kligga, where Troy is attacked by Kligga using Force Lightning on a number of occasions after he had annoyed Kligga. On one of these occasions Troy embraces the dark-side to save himself, but does not succumb fully to it’s wrath. Tanlee is also attacked, and survives. During the conversation, Kligga explains that the person in the coffin is indeed a Jedi Knight, who has been frozen in suspended animation for 4,000 years, and will be the saviour of the Empire. Tanlee and Ledala attempt to turn Kligga to the good side, but fail.
