SUMMARY:

After rescuing her long though lost mentor – E’Raan, and discovering that he was dying, Tanlee now obeys her masters final wishes to travel to a system known only as Voscol. Her mission – to find a 320 year old Jedi Master named Adol Laryth who will begin her training in the ways of the Jedi. A trip that will begin her journey from that of a soldier to the path of a Jedi Knight…

STORY:

Event: After returning, the group decides to go on shore leave. Most of the time is spent training the personnel on the Home Fleet, and on the new base located at Masterhome. However, instead of training, Tanlee decides that she should journey to the location mentioned on the data disk which had been given to her by E’Raan.

Event: Tanlee then goes to General Hannibal Romilar and requests leave of absence to pursue personal interests, to which Romilar approves. Tanlee begins looking for a pilot on the Masterhome base to take her to the planet as she had never flown by herself before and didn’t think of herself as much of a pilot. After speaking with a few different pilots, Tanlee found that an old friend had arrived the previous evening – Kinos Drais. Kinos asks for a small fee as he seemed smitten with Tanlee and her “charms”. A short time later, Kinos and Tanlee leave the base on Masterhome and travel to Arcan IV.

Event: Upon arriving on Arcan IV, Kinos ventures into the starport, while Tanlee remains aboard after the problems recently experienced in the main city. Whilst on Arcan IV, Kinos organises the purchase of a consignment of datapads, purchases a portable sub-space radio for Tanlee and re-fuels the Dream Wæver. Tanlee and Kinos leave Arcan IV for the next stop along the way, the Sedesia Starport.

Event: Upon arrival, Tanlee and Kinos find that the system is still under Imperial blockade. Tanlee ducks into Kinos’ secret compartments as the Dream Wæver is boarded by Imperials. Kinos bribes the Imperial Lieutenant stating that all that he is carrying is a consignment of datapads for Sedesia Prime. The customs inspector buys the deal, along with the bribe, and the Dream Wæver is allowed along it’s way. After arriving on Sedesia, Kinos refuels the Dream Wæver. While Tanlee remains on board the Dream Wæver, Kinos ventures into Besia Osurne in an attempt to sell his consignment of datapads. Being unsuccessful in the sale of his datapads, Kinos returns to the Dream Wæver. Tanlee and Kinos leave the system, and travel to Darknon Station on the border of the Fakir Sector and the Primarch Cluster.

Event: Upon arriving at the Station, Tanlee feels a distance presence calling to her which seems somewhat evil in nature. Kinos informs Tanlee that the stay on Darknon Station will be short as he only needs to “catch up” on some old friends, and does not need to refuel. Tanlee remains aboard at the request of Kinos, as he states the place can become rather “rough”. After a short time, Tanlee and Kinos leave Darknon Station for the long forgotten Voscol system.

Event: Upon arrival in the system, Tanlee feels the distant calling she had felt on Darknon Station, but much stronger. Tanlee assumes that it is somehow connected to the Jedi who supposedly awaits her arrival. As the Dream Wæver enters the atmosphere, the craft it battered by winds and shearing rain. Kinos however informs Tanlee that according to sensors, the weather on the planet is perfect. After a long trip through the atmosphere, Kinos finds a clearing near a rock formation. As the clouds dissipate, Kinos and Tanlee realise that the clearing that the Dream Wæver has landed is actually a massive platform which juts out from the rock face and appears to be kilometres from the ground below. Tanlee and Kinos then see the rock formation that was picked up on sensors – a large apparently abandoned castle. Tanlee bids Kinos farewell, and thanks him for the ride. She then informs him that she will contact him via rebel frequency using the portable sub-space radio she purchased on Arcan IV. The Dream Wæver then lifts off, as Tanlee waves goodbye.

Event: As Tanlee becomes drenched in the pouring rain, she grabs her belongings, and moves towards the shelter of the castle. Tanlee feels a presence, but is uncertain if it is evil. As Tanlee enters the gate of the castle, she enters the massive court yard. The castle is covered in mould and vines, and appears to have been abandoned for hundreds of years. As Tanlee arrives at the front door, she feels that she is being watched.

Suddenly, creatures fly down from the castle walls and begin to attack Tanlee. Tanlee quickly drops her belongings, ignites her lightsaber and trusts in the force. Without taking a slice, the creatures disintegrate into clouds of mist. A short alien creature then answers the door, and greets Tanlee. The creature introduces himself as Adol Larynth. Tanlee, being cautious, questions the creature into why he is here. Adol then informs her that she is amongst friends, and that he had been expecting her since E’Raan had informed him of her coming. Tanlee, now a little more relaxed, enters the main hall of the castle, which appears to be well looked after, which Tanlee notes is a complete contrast to that of the outside. Adol then warns Tanlee that all is not as it seems in the castle Kalraan. Adol then beckons Tanlee to join him for supper upstairs. As Master Adol begins walking up the stairs, Tanlee feels alone and afraid.

Suddenly 6 ghost-like beings rise from the floor, ignite lightsabers and begin moving towards Tanlee in an attack position. Tanlee realises that it could be some type of test, and trusts in the force. Suddenly the figures scream and dissipate into clouds of mist in the same way that the creatures, which attacked Tanlee outside, did. Tanlee then quickly follows Master Adol up-stairs. Upon arrival upstairs, Tanlee is greeted by Adol and is seated at a large banquet table, which has been set for seven. Tanlee is seated at the head of the table.

As she is seated, five shimmering figures appear before her, and are also seated at the table. Tanlee becomes anxious having seen similar ghost-like creatures in main hallway, but is assured by Master Adol that he has invited them in her honour. As Tanlee’s favourite meal is served for diner, much to Tanlee’s surprise, Master Adol introduces her to the shimmering figures of Master Horon D’or, General and famous Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Master Gerren Kresh, Master Varnan Tos’Kin, and Master Cabod Nod. Adol then informs Tanlee of the story of Castle Kalraan. Adol tells Tanlee that all of the Jedi who are seated before her, except for Obi-Wan Kenobi, fought a great battle many years ago on this soil. Adol, then explains the story of the monastary.

“The story begins about 500 years ago, when this castle was an ancient Dark Jedi Monastry. A few associates of mine and I, including some apprentice Jedis, travelled here to destroy the Dark Jedi and purify the land. A great battle occurred where great Jedi, both of the Light and the Dark fell. The only ones to survive were the Dark Jedi Kalraan and myself. There was a fierce battle between us, where we were both mortally wounded. However, I knew that even in death, the light side would prevail, so I called upon its power. This miraculously saved my mortal body. Kalraan however, knew that the Dark Side awaited him. He then used an ancient Sith power, which transferred his life energy into the mountain where this monastery now stands. Unfortunately, as a result of this, I was forced to remain at the Monastery to keep the forces of the Dark Side at bay, and to prevent Kalraan from returning to the mortal world.

“Until recently, I had been reluctant to teach anybody in the ways of the force. I knew that even though long deceased, Kalraan may attempt to transfer his life essence to a student not proficient in the ways of the force, hence again joining the mortal world. It would appear that this is what he tried to do when you first entered the castle grounds. Recently your former mentor E’Raan called to me one night, and told me of your coming. I then reached out with the force, and found that you would be one of the many that will be responsible for the re-unification of the forces of the light, and the subsequent return of the Jedi to the galaxy.”

Adol then engages in small talk, while Tanlee ponders her future. Tanlee expresses her eagerness to begin training. Adol informs her however that patience is the first rule a Jedi must learn. He states that her journey was a long one, and insists on her resting for a few days, and to before familiar with the surroundings.

Event: After a few days of restless nights, and horrible nightmares, Tanlee begins her training with her new master, Adol.

Event: During a training session, Tanlee is startled by a strange creature who she sees sitting on a table staring at her. The creature is similar to that of an earth rabbit, but has small antennae on its head. Adol introduces the creature to Tanlee as Pliff the Hoojib. Pliff then speaks to Tanlee using a mild form of Telepathy. Soon over the following hours of training, the two become friends. Over the next few days, Pliff and Tanlee become inseparable. Tanlee then asks Pliff if he wishes to join her on her adventures, to which Pliff replies in the affirmative. After a few days, Tanlee completes her initial training with Adol. Adol then gives her a task. Adol tells her to find a gem rare to this part of the galaxy called the Illnoic Stone. Adol states that there is no time limit, and will not expect her to find the stone for some time. Tanlee then sends a message to the Dream Wæver, requesting that she may be picked up. A few days later, Kinos arrives and picks up Tanlee from Voscol. Tanlee and Kinos then travel to Darknon Station.
