SUMMARY:

Having travelled to the co-ordinates given by Lorrak, Thermal Force discovers a Corellian Corvette adrift in space with no occupants. Suddenly, a massive alien craft appears which unleashes a sonic weapon against the members of Thermal Force knocking most of them unconscious. As Gan, Karahaa and Vi (the only ones to resist the effects of the weapon) hide in the secret cargo holds, the Moon Swing is boarded by a number of strange alien creatures, who kidnap Tanlee and Ledala. Its from here, that things go crazy, as Thermal Force visits our own Milky Way Galaxy and helps liberate a group of alien freedom fighters from their oppressive telepathic masters, but not before accidentally causing the destruction of life on a small world known only as Terra…

STORY:

Event: Hyperspace (Moon Swing) [ x¾ ]
Event: During the trip, Ledala and Karahaa distract Woetar, while
Vi and Gan take a closer look at the cargo. Both find that in each
of the crates is a single canister with the Imperial symbol on each.
Vi and Gan decide not to tamper further with the crates.

Side Event I – Race Against Time

Staring: Kyan, Bakki and Hershee

Event: After making a deal with a small pirate outpost in the Central Mid Rim, Bakki, Kyan and Hershee race back towards Home Base with life saving bacta fluid. As the three arrive from hyperspace, just outside of the Masterhome system, Hershee detects a large ship coming out of some type of distortion. As the ship appears, there is a blinding flash and the three fall unconscious. Some time later, Bakki comes too, floating in the middle of debris. Bakki immediately contacts Home Base and tells them that something attacked the group, consequently destroying Hershee and Kyan’s ships, and destroying the bacta. Time Taken: 4 hours G.S.Date/Time: 0400 Event: After a hopeless search of the surrounding area, Bakki returns to Home Base. Time Taken: 10 hours G.S.Date/Time: 1400

Event: Upon arrival at the coordinates, the group detect a Corellian Corvette with no energy signature whatsoever. Being suspicious, the group approaches the corvette slowly, and cautiously.

Event: Gan, Vi, and Karahaa get inside the secret cargo holds in case the corvette is an Imperial trap. While Gan, Karahaa and Vi make their way to the cargo hold, Tanlee uses the sensors, and detects 6 metallic spheres positioned in a hexagonal shape, and are all perfectly aligned on the one plain. Tanlee informs the rest of the group, to which no one understands their significance. Suddenly a massive ship de-cloaks above the Moon Swing. Just as suddenly, there is a blinding flash that knocks all but Karahaa unconscious. From the grates, Karahaa, resisting her urge to break out of the secret compartments and attack, observes a number of small white skinned creatures enter the ship, and take the unconscious bodies of Tanlee, and Ledala out of the ship. As the small creatures leave, Karahaa attempts to wake Gan and Vi. Karahaa then drags Gan and Vi from the cargo hold and moves them into the common room. Karahaa then ventures into the cockpit. From the Moon Swing, Karahaa observes the massive alien starship. Suddenly, the 6 spheres, which Tanlee had described, begin to glow. Energy beams then link each of the spheres together, and a swirling vortex appears in the middle. A few moments later, the vortex seemingly elongates, and the alien ship moves into its gravitational effects.

Event: As the Alien ship disappears, the Moon Swing becomes caught in some type of gravitational eddy caused by the alien ship. Wishing to follow the ship, Karahaa does not attempt to stop the effects of the eddy. Suddenly, the Moon Swing is pulled into the Vortex. A moment later, the Vortex closes. The Moon Swing arrives on the other side of the Vortex. Karahaa immediately activates sensors and cannot find the alien ship. Upon checking the navigational computer, Karahaa finds that the current position of the Moon Swing is completely unknown. Karahaa then informs the Gan and Vi. After using sensors to find the planets and anomalies in the system, Gan and Karahaa pilot the Moon Swing towards the only standard class planet in the system. Suddenly, a smaller cloaked ship appears above the Moon Swing. Gan and Vi quickly man the guns, when suddenly a translator voice over the comlink tells them that they are not with the larger ship. Not taking any risks, Gan and Vi remain in the gunnery positions. The aliens then tell the group that they would like to ask for their help. A short time later, the group speaks with the aliens. The head alien, who identifies himself as Tre-Mok, explains that they are the original descendants of the Xan from the planet Algara II. Tre-Mok then tells the group the story of his people: "Many years ago, the Xan were a peaceful race. Some 1000 years ago, the Xan were forced to flee their home after their planet’s sun went nova. In the confusion, a large number of the Xan were lost, but the majority of them came to this, the Terran system. Until recently, they had lived here for years in peace and harmony. It all began 100 years ago when a new wormhole type technology, called the Star Rift was discovered, giving the Xan the ability to travel great distances through space. This made the Xan happy, as they could begin to look for their missing people lost when their planet’s sun went nova. About 5 years ago when a Xan scouting party travelled to the group’s galaxy, the Xan found the planet Algara. The Xan were horrified that the Xan of Algara had been turned into virtual slaves. “When the news of the Algarian Xan arrived back at the Xan High Command on Terra, there was a split in the government. One faction of the High Command wanted just to recover their people from Algara; another faction wanted to leave the other Xan where they were, not wishing to interfere; whilst another faction wanted to take revenge on behalf of their brothers on Algara and destroy (or enslave) the entire human race. This particular faction was led by a senator named Ra-Deon, and as time progressed, the faction’s beliefs gathered momentum, and about 1 year ago, Ra-Deon claimed himself High Commander, and ordered the use of the Star Rifts as jump-off points for his war fleet. A large number of the Xan rebelled, but were quickly crushed by Ra-Deon’s troops. As a result, many of the Xan who escaped Ra-Deon’s forces, travelled to the asteroid belt between the 4th and 5th planets in the system, and begun building many underground bases. Hence, the Xan Alliance was formed.” Tre-Mok explains that the purpose of the Xan Alliance is to destroy the Star Rifts, and return to the peaceful society that the Xan once were. The group explain the current situation in their galaxy, and explain how they ended up here. They then ask how to get back. The Xan state to the group that the only way to return to their galaxy is to activate one of the Star Rift Triggering Devices which are only located on-board Xan Battle Cruisers. The group then asks for help to rescue Tanlee and Ledala and to take one of the Battle Cruisers, and get them back to their galaxy. The Xan agree under the proviso that the group destroys the Star Rift Conduits on the other side when they return.

Side Event II – Little Green Men

Staring: Ledala, Tanlee and Kyan

Event: Unconscious, Ledala and Tanlee are brought aboard the Alien Battle Cruiser. Some time later Ledala and Tanlee wake up and find themselves in separate cells. They are dressed in white gowns, and are contained in small white rooms with a door. After some time, the two escape from their rooms. As they exit their rooms, they find that their cells are ones of thousands of others. They also find that the walkways are simply energy fields. A short confrontation between the aliens occurs, and ends with the aliens shutting off the gravitational platforms, causing Ledala and Tanlee to fall to their deaths. As the two hit the ground, they awake to find themselves in a small square room. They find that they are strapped to beds raised along the walls of the room. Also, Tanlee and Ledala notice, their frog-like friend Woetar, Lt. Kyan DeGritz, and the Togorian Hershee, both from the Home Fleet, and an old man, all strapped to the upright beds around the room. Tanlee recognises the old man as that of her long lost mentor, E’Ran. Time Taken: 1 day 8 hours G.S.Date/Time: 1900 – 35:07:24 Event: E’Ran tells Tanlee to use the force to release the bonds as he has been drained. Tanlee, with the mental assistance of E’Ran, uses the force, and contorts her hand to wriggle out of the bindings. Kyan, having felt a certain kinship towards Tanlee since his meeting with Santhou, attempts to contort himself. Tanlee, seeing Kyan’s attempt, tries to assist him mentally. Suddenly, there is a crack of bones, as Kyan breaks all of the bones in his hand. Once free, Tanlee moves to release her friends. During the release, Tanlee accidentally triggers an alarm, and partially electrocutes Woetar. The group help each other up, as two of the aliens enter the room. Tanlee, Hershee, and Ledala quickly dispense with the aliens. After equipping themselves with the alien’s weapons, Tanlee, Ledala, and the others make their way through the mazes of rooms. Along the way, the group encounter a large number of rooms filled with the pirates from the Corellian Corvette that they were to rendezvous with, along with a large number of people whom state that they had been “abducted” some time ago. Eventually, Gan, Karahaa, and Vi find Tanlee, Ledala and the others. Time Taken: 1 hour G.S.Date/Time: 2000

Event: The group then leaves for the Battle Cruiser, which they have discovered, is orbiting the 3rd planet in the system. The group, along with a large number of Xan troops, take a stolen Xan shuttle.

Event: Using a stolen recognition code of a Xan Scout ship returning from patrol, the group arrives at the 3rd planet, and soon after boards one of the main Battle Cruisers. When they arrive, the group notice 2 X-Wing fighters in the hanger bay, one of which is fitted with additional cargo containers. After landing, the group sneak past security, and begin making their way into the corridors. The group is confronted a number of times by Xan Security Guards, but quickly take them down. Along the way, an alarm sounds, and soon after the group meets up with Tanlee and Ledala, and their band of pirates.

Event: During the group’s journey to the bridge, the Xan Alliance announces their attack using stolen Xan fighters, commence their attack on the Battle Cruiser. Eventually they arrive at the bridge. A heated battle takes place, ending in a final confrontation with a telepathic Xan Battle Cruiser Captain. A number of the group is attacked telepathically by the Captain, as well as being attacked by the Captain’s security personnel. In the end, Gan Jan-Ru takes the Captain out with a heavy volley of blaster shots from his heavy repeater. As the smoke clears, the Xan Alliance members still aboard the stolen Xan Shuttle contact the group. They advise that the main hanger have been heavily damaged by the attack.

Event: Leaving the pirate crew to pilot the Battle Cruiser towards the Star Rift, Gan, Ledala, Vi, Hershee and Karahaa make their way to the main hanger bay to rescue the Moon Swing. Tanlee tells the group that she will stay and look after E’Ran, Kyan and Woetar on the bridge. Upon arriving at the hanger, the group notices that the Moon Swing had not been damaged, but a large number of cargo containers had been hit. Once of the Xan motions for the group to examine the damage. Upon arrival, Vi sees that the cargo is that of the devices that had been aboard the Moon Swing. Vi also notices that all of the devices are missiles of some description, and that the explosion had caused them to initiate a timing mechanism. With no way of disarming the devices in a short time, Vi, Gan and Karahaa push the devices outside the magnetic field. The group then watches as the device plummet into the deepness of space, and soon after impact on the 3rd planet in the system. In the meantime, the group travels back to the bridge for the trip to the Star Rift. Upon arrival at the bridge, a massive explosion rocks the ship. One of the pirates tells the group that they are under attack from another Battle Cruiser. Heading at full speed, the group arrives at the Star Rift. One of the Xan technicians activates the Star Rift Triggering Device, and the vortex opens. Gan and Vi quickly man one of the rear gun emplacements. The group’s Cruiser enters the Rift, soon after followed by the second Battle Cruiser. As the group’s Battle Cruiser exits the Rift, Gan and Vi take aim at the conduits, and destroy them. Suddenly the Star Rift collapses, catching the enemy Cruiser inside.

Event: After assisting the Xan repair most of the damage to the cruiser, the group say their goodbyes and leave. The pirates return to their Corvette, and take Woetar with them. Kyan and Hershee return to their X-Wings and make their way to Masterhome. Tanlee asks E’Ran to come with her, to which he declines. He then tells Tanlee that he is dying, and that he would prefer to spend his last days exploring the galaxy with the Xan on their return trip home. Much to Tanlee’s protest, E’Ran bids her farewell, but not before giving her a data disk with the location of a “friend” whom could help her with her “studies”. The group, now united, board the Moon Swing, and leave for Orman-Cue, then onto Masterhome.

Event: Anthauna re-joins the group, and takes them to her residence. At Anthauna’s, the wounded members of the group are healed by Karahaa.

Event: After a short recovery, Gan examines his armour and finds that it has been seriously damaged. Gan then requests that Anthauna go into town, and obtain some supplies as to enable him to repair his armour. Before leaving, Vi and Anthauna discuss who might have been sent to kill them. After examining all possibilities, and using the description of the armoured figure, both come to the conclusion that it could have been Jodo Kast. Anthauna then leaves to obtain supplies and investigate the whereabouts of Kast.

Event: Some time later, Anthauna returns with the necessary supplies, and with little information on Kast. She informs the group that Boba Fett had been seen in Mos Eisley in the last few days, but none had seen Kast for some time. Anthauna then tells the group that Kast has the same armour as Fett, and intelligence has shown that Kast has used Fett’s identity in the past.

Event: After recovering from the ordeal, the group makes their way to the Mos Eisley cantina.

Event: Upon arrival, the group notice the Twi’lek, Tavri and two darkly clothed humans speaking together. As the group arrives, the Twi’lek finishes his business with the humans, gives them a data card, and leaves. As Tavri passes the group, he brushes past Gan and laughs. A short time later, the two humans leave the cantina. The group then contacts the Sullustan Rai-Kalei. Rai-Kalei informs the group that his ship, the Mayjeln has been impounded and that he wants help in getting off Tatooine. Vi, seeing a good deal, requests Rai-Kalei obtain the layouts of the Police Station and the Hotel where they had seen the Twi’lek enter for the cost of obtaining passage off world. Rai-Kalei agrees, and leaves the cantina. The group then return to Anthauna’s, making sure that they are not followed.

Event: The group then considers a plan. Vi decides that Ledala and Karahaa should go with him to the Police Station in an attempt to find Nim Bola, while Gan and Anthauna go to the Tavri’s hotel room in case they attempt to make their way back there. First the group decides to rest for the mission and to strike at midnight, Tatooine time. During the evening, about 1-hour before midnight, the group is awoken by a large explosion. Anthauna tunes her surveillance device and picks up the local police band. It appears that the Police Station had been attacked. The group prepares quickly, and executes their plan ahead of schedule.

Side Event I – It’s a Small World

Staring: Vi, Ledala, and Karahaa

Event: Vi, Karahaa and Ledala leave to go to the Police Station. Along the way, Ledala bumps into her old friend Jock McCraven who happens to be on Tatooine. Jock begins to reminisce when suddenly two patrolling Imperial troopers stop them. Vi and Karahaa are unaware of Ledala’s predicament, and continue to the Police Station. The troopers ask Ledala and Jock why they are out late at night, and ask for some identification. Jock fumbles for some ID and winks at Ledala. Ledala thinking she understood what Jock means draws her weapon and fires. Jock also draws his weapon, which was hidden in his jacket and fires. The surprised troopers fall to the ground. Vi hears the gunfire over the comlink and calls Ledala. Ledala informs him that she is all right, and that she now has Jock McCraven with her. A short time later, Jock and Ledala meet up with Vi and Karahaa. Vi, Karahaa, Ledala, and Jock soon arrive at the Police Station and find that the area is swarming with speeders and troopers. From appearances, the Station has been completely destroyed. Vi and the others notice a large hole in the side of the prison cells, which has been caused by one of the explosions. Vi then contacts Gan and Anthauna and tells them that Nim Bola and Tavri are most likely on their way to the hotel. A short time later, Gan contacts Vi and tells him to meet them on the roof of the hotel. Vi and the others then decide to steal a skiff. A short time later, the group finds an old run down skiff in an used speeder lot. Jock hot-wires the skiff and while Karahaa jury-rigs it to fly at a higher than normal altitude. The group then takes off, much to the dismay of the speeder lot’s owner. The group arrive at the hotel. *Time Taken: 1 hour G.S.Date/Time: 2000 (0000 Ta.T.)

Side Event II – Nim Bola at Your Service

Staring: Gan Jan-Ru and Anthauna
G.S.Date/Time: 1900 (2200 Ta.T.) – 35:08:08

Event: Gan and Anthauna arrive at the hotel and wait in the alleyway across the road. Some time later they are contacted by Vi who tells them that Nim Bola and Tavri and most likely on their way to the hotel. A short time later, Tavri, three humans arrive at the hotel. Two of the humans are dressed in dark clothing while the third is dressed in civilian clothes. Gan and Anthauna watch as the group enters the hotel block. Gan and Anthauna move to the window of the apartment and notice Tavri and one of the humans moving a large floor panel revealing a hidden compartment. They also notice that one of the humans is collecting things from around the apartment, and appears to be packing Gan and Anthauna then notice the two dark clothed humans draw their weapons. Gan and Anthauna then smash through the window, and attack. Before they can, one of the humans gets a shot off, and seriously wounds Tavri. Gan then opens fire on the humans and kills them both. The human dressed in civilian clothes then draws a vibro-blade, and finishes them off. The human introduces himself as Nim Bola, and thanks the two for rescuing him. Anthauna checks out the window, and Gan and Nim lift the contents of the compartment out – an astromech droid. Anthauna notices an Imperial speeder closing in on their location. Gan then contacts Vi, and tells him to meet them on the roof of the hotel. Gan and Anthauna grab the droid, whilst Nim grabs Tavri’s body, and then make their way to the roof of the hotel. Upon arrival at the roof-top, Anthauna notices the Imperials getting closer A short time later, Vi and the others arrive, just as the Imperial speeder levels with the hotel. Event: The group is loaded aboard the skiff, and it is found that the load is one too heavy. Nim realises that Tavri is as good as dead, and throws his body to the Imperials below. This is much to the disgust of most of the group. The group then leaves the scene and makes their way to the Moon Swing’s docking bay. The group soon arrives at the docking bay, meeting up with a concerned Rai-Kalei. The group boards the Moon Swing and prepares to take off. Karahaa performs a sensor sweep of the ship, and finds that a tracking device has been placed on-board. The group then checks the ship physically, and they find a device. Attached to the device is a large detonator, and explosives. Karahaa examines the explosives, and informs the rest of the group that if the device is tampered with, it will explode. Ledala makes the decision to leave the device attached. Whilst the search was in progress, Rai makes himself acquainted with Jock. During the conversation, Jock requests that Rai accompany him aboard his ship the “Nimble Pixie”, to which Rai agrees. Rai and Jock bid their good-byes and leave. The group prepares the Moon Swing with Ledala as Pilot, Karahaa as co-pilot and navigator, Vi and Gan as gunners, while Anthauna guards Nim Bola. The Moon Swing then leaves Mos Eisley.

Event: Just before exiting the atmosphere, Karahaa detects nine TIE fighters and a Star Destroyer, all heading in their direction. Ledala pilots the ship away while Karahaa plots a course through hyperspace, as the quicker Imperials begin to close in. Vi and Gan fire at the TIEs taking a few out, but not before reinforcements arrive. Suddenly, the comlink comes alive with the voice of Jodo Kast. Kast tells the group to come about, drop their shields and prepare to be boarded, or he will detonate the device planted on their ship. The group then ignore his supposedly hollow threats and keep going. Suddenly a massive explosion rocks the Moon Swing. The device was real. Both Ledala and Karahaa perform damage checks and find that the weapon that Gan is controlling has been damaged. Gan then leaves the gunnery seat, and makes his way to the common-room where Anthauna is guarding Nim Bola. Karahaa finishes calculating the jump, and activates the hyperdrive. The group speeds away to safety.

Event: Hyperspace (Moon Swing) [ x¾ ]
Event:Whilst in hyperspace, Karahaa and Ledala begin working
on the repairs to the Moon Swing. Gan, Vi and Anthauna begin
interrogating Nim Bola. Bola tells them his story though somewhat
reluctantly:

“I am a private investigator, and have been so on Tatooine for some
time. Heh, it would appear that even on a dust ball like that, people
have secrets. Anyway, about a week ago I was out in the dune sea
looking into something when I saw a ship crash into the desert. I
went to investigate and found a seriously wounded Bothan and an
over sensitive R2 droid. The Bothan was pretty cut up, and
unfortunately, I have absolutely no medical skills. After I had got
him and the droid out, he said that I should take the droid to the
Rebel Alliance. He then fell into a coma. He was as good as dead,
and I knew the Imperials would be coming after him, so I did what
I thought would be the best. I threw him into the sarlaac".

“I then took the droid back to my room, and stashed it in the floor
compartment. The droid was pretty beat up as well, and since I
had no idea what its importance was, other than it was supposed
to go to the Rebel Alliance, I thought I might be able to make a
quick credit. So I put it on the market. I teamed up with an old
friend Tavri, whom you’ve met, and tried to sell it to the highest
bidder. Soon after I was arrested. And well you know the rest."

Questions fly and eventually Nim gets quite irate. Eventually
Karahaa comes to calm down the situation, but to no avail. Gan
then speaks with Bola alone. The two come to an agreement that
seems beneficial to both. Vi goes to examine the droid. When
activated, the droid begins speaking, and at the end of every
sentence, it says Fweep! Vi and Karahaa both examine the
droid, and find nothing wrong with it. During the search however,
Karahaa finds a data disk. When played, the disk provides maps
and technical data for a secret Imperial Weapons Facility – the
facility where Blue Harvest is produced. The droid however,
continues to end all its sentences with Fweep! Karahaa gets the
droid to perform a self diagnostic to find the problem, but to no
avail. Suspecting the worst, the droid is switched off.

Karahaa sends a message to the “Home” Base asking about
Nim Bola and what action should be taken in relation to the
droid. When asked by Karahaa to give the message command
clearance Vi, the commanding officer, refuses. Karahaa then
sends the message anyway.
