SUMMARY:

After rescuing the Old Republic Admiral Adar Talon, the members of Mission Group Alpha are called upon to recover a shipment of supplies which have been deposited into the oceans of Spira. But as the members of Mission Group Alpha meet their contact, they soon discover that the only way to recover them is to take part in an annual boat race called – The Spira Regatta. During the race, not only will the members of Mission Group Alpha come face to face with the son of an Imperial Governor, but one member of the group will confront a demon from her past…

STORY:

Event: Ledala makes arrangements for the rebellion to pay for some of her debt to Lorrak, for services rendered. The Alliance agrees to pay 1,000 credits per month to Ledala, and will deliver the money if Ledala is on any missions. The group meets Bakki Romilar, flight leader of the fighter squadron attached to “Home”, who will be responsible for the transport of Ledala’s payment. Meanwhile the group prepares and soon after the Moon Swing leaves for the mission.

Event: The group arrives at Spira space platform and docks at bay 34. The group finds that the platform is run by the Empire, and that no ships are allowed to enter the atmosphere of Spira, except if a service shuttle or if given express consent from the Imperial Governor. The group secures the Moon Swing and explores the platform.

Event: Troy enjoys a number of holovid games in the casino, and wins some credits. Karahaa is insulted by Reginald Hanniper Snopps III, son of the regional Governor of the Fakir Sector, Zafiel Snopps. The group stumbles onto a young beggar Jerro Tolk, who is later found to be a computer slicer. It seems that Jerro had been removed from the Imperial offices on Spira after tampering with secret files. He was thrown out onto the streets, and all his possessions were destroyed. He has been on the streets ever since. Troy befriends Jerro, and they begin to exchange compu-babble. Harold Taft, a rebel agent working with Seth, contacts Gan Jan-Ru and Daurek. Taft takes the two to see Seth. The group rendezvous and make their plans to recover the crates. Seth tells the group that the crates are hidden in an old spaceship wreck, which is unfortunately on the route of the Spira Regatta. The Regatta is held annually, and it so happens that it will be held in 2 days. The route along the regatta is being heavily monitored to prevent cheating etc, so recovery at this time will be impossible. The race will take about 10 days, and the route will still be monitored. The group plans to enter the race and recover the crates during the Regatta, as they pass over the wreck. The group is also told that security is tight, and to transport the crates back to the Moon Swing will be dangerous without some type of deterrent. Seth tells them of the Camray Eels, which inhabit the oceans of Spira. The meat of the eel is potent and nauseating, and if packed carefully with the supplies, should deter Imperial inspections. Ledala returns to the Moon Swing. Troy and Jerro stay at Seth’s cabin and attempt to infiltrate the computer networks on Spira, looking for information.

Event: Seth teaches Daurek, Tanlee, Karahaa, and Gan the finer points of boating, and soon after goes hunting for the eels in the Shinkai Abyss, a large trench which lies under the sea, and is the home of the eels. The eels are taken on-board and brought back to the island and to Seth’s personal boat shed.

Side Event I – Birds in a Cage

Event: Ledala takes monorail back to the spaceport Time Taken: 1 hour G.S.Date/Time: 0100 (2100 Sp.T.) – 35:03:18 Event: Ledala then boards a shuttle going up to the Space Platform. Time Taken: 2 hours G.S.Date/Time: 0300 (2300 Sp.T.) Event: Ledala is arrested and placed in prison. In the prison, she is alone for some time. Eventually a fellow smuggler, Platt “Oakie” O’Keeefe, joins her. The two make plans to escape from the prison through service corridors and ventilation ducts. Oakie tells Ledala how she was imprisoned once before for the wrong reasons and that she had to get out. Time Taken: 11 days 8 hours G.S.Date/Time: 1100 (0000 Sp.T.) – 35:03:29 Event: After removing some grating in the cell, and they begin their trek through the corridors and ducts, Ledala and Oakie overhear a conversation with Horrak the Hutt and his henchmen. Ledala sees a number of mercenaries including a Barabel, a young woman, and 4 others. Horrak says that he will be able to return Ledala to where she belongs, and claim the reward. He also says that he had her imprisoned on trumped up charges after paying-off the Imperial Administrator. Ledala further hears him say that a tracking device had been placed on the Moon Swing. The two then emerge outside and find their way to a computer terminal. Ledala accesses the ship registry and finds that the Moon Swing had been impounded at docking bay 34, but had recently been released as the owner is a special agent of the Emperor. Ledala then checked herself on the computer system and found that she was the special agent. From this information, she suspected Troy had changed the files Time Taken: 4 hours G.S.Date/Time: 1500 (0400 Sp.T.) Event: Ledala and Oakie go to the Moon Swing. A firefight takes place between the Imperials and the pair. Oakie is stunned and soon after Ledala surrenders. Platt and Ledala are taken into custody, where Ledala speaks with Captain Yehlon, the administrator of the Spira Space Platform. Using her charms, her powers of persuasion, and the story given to her by Troy she tells the Administrator that she is a special agent working for the Empire. She also convinces him that he is to allow the prisoner to escape as she is leading her to a target wanted by the Emperor. The Administrator buys the story, after checking the now altered records and releases Ledala. Time Taken: 1 hour G.S.Date/Time: 1600 (0500 Sp.T.) – 35:03:29 Event: When Ledala gets to the Moon Swing she checks the ship and finds the tracking device. She then moves the device to another ship. Soon after, the ship with the tracking device leaves and the “Crack of Death”, Horrak The Hutt’s ship, soon follows in pursuit. Time Taken: 2 hours G.S.Date/Time: 1800 (0700 Sp.T.) Event: Ledala then returns to the Administrator and asks to talk to Platt privately. Ledala then tells Platt the arrangements she has made. Platt thanks Ledala for her help, and tells her to look her up some time. Time Taken: 1 hour G.S.Date/Time: 1900 (0800 Sp.T.) Event: Ledala then returns to the Moon Swing and waits for the return of the group. Time Taken: 3 hours G.S.Date/Time: 2200

Side Event II – The Spira Net

Event: Sometime after playing with the computer system, Troy finds that the Moon Swing was impounded and that Ledala had been arrested. Troy then accesses the network and “releases” the Moon Swing from impoundment, and places the ship’s ID with another ship. Troy also has Ledala “unarrested”, and places on the networks that Ledala is actually a special agent of the Emperor, and that she is to be trusted no matter what. While hacking, Troy and Jerro watch the race via live holovid. Troy and Jerro wait for the others to return. Time Taken: 11 days 15 hours G.S.Date/Time: 1500 (0400 Sp.T.) – 35:03:29

Event: The Regatta begins, running in conjunction with Remembrance Day Celebrations.

Event: The group observes a boat, “The Tatooine Surprise”, which sinks within the first 10 minutes of the race. They also find that the captain is Lobster Head, from the Mos Eisley Cantina. On day 3, the group encounters a slug, which has attached itself to the boat. The group removes the slug successfully. On day 6, the group encounters The Point, which they successfully navigate. On day eight, they reach the wreck.

Event: At the wreck, the group finds the crates, and Daurek has an encounter with the ancient spaceship. The ship reaches out and touches him, flooding him with the memories of the old ship. It seems that the ship was once alive, and that it was working in unison with the Morodins, a long extinct race. The ship seemed to have crashed after being in some type of battle. The ship landed at the bottom of the sea, and began to live the life of the coral and sea creatures. The crates are then recovered. Also at the wreck, the group has an encounter with Snopps. After a short parlay, the group continues with the race. On day 10, the group arrives back – last. Troy informs the group that the Moon Swing was impounded and Ledala had also been arrested. He further stated that he had taken care of the problem.

Event: The crates are filled with eel meat and are transported via the monorail, to the spaceport.

Event: The crates are checked through customs, and because of the smell the Imperials wave the crates through. The crates are then taken to the Space Platform. The group thank Seth for his assistance, and soon after leave for the platform themselves.
